Asia has an insatiable appetite for protein and health-giving products from New Zealand. Spring Sheep and joint venture partner Landcorp (now Pamu) invested in a sheep farm and processing plant near Taupo to supply this growing demand.

phd3’s role was to convert this opportunity by creating strong export brands, packaging and storytelling that fit with the culture of the company and deeply connect with its consumers in Taiwan, China, Malaysia, Vietnam and more.

Rather than a strictly linear process, we first created a range of concepts to be tested in market. We then iterated those concepts and evolved messaging and packaging to correspond with the insights gained.
